Brush Fire Rages In South Barrington After Jumping From Mulch Pile At Landscaping Business – CBS Chicago

SOUTH BARRINGTON, IL (CBS) – Firefighters from several northwestern suburbs battled a persistent bush fire on Monday afternoon and night.

Flames blazed Monday night near Penny and Sutton Streets in South Barrington. Firefighters brought water tankers to put out the flames.

We’re told that earlier in the day this came from a huge pile of mulch at a landscaping company near Penny Road and Route 59.

The flames then jumped over the railroad tracks and also smoked South Barrington and the surrounding area.
