Chandigarh MC to do landscaping around judges’ houses in Sector 10-A for Rs 58.93L

The Chandigarh Citizenship will do the landscaping around the Judges’ Houses in Sector 10-A for Rs 58.93 lakh. It will be made up of the best fitness equipment using high end bearings.

The state-of-the-art landscaping would be carried out by the Horticultural Department of the Citizenship and the agenda item would be dealt with in front of the General House at the meeting scheduled for Tuesday at the City Society’s office in Sector 17, Chandigarh.

It was stipulated that the green belt to be developed around the judges’ houses in Sector 10-A, under the main heading “Landscaping”, with an approximate amount of Rs 58.93 lakh.

Apart from the dimensions of 1100x460x1480mm, it was mentioned that the Space Walker should be a customizable multicolor with a complete powder coating.

Citizens may not have focused on every specification on other open air fitness equipment as they did on this project.

CHIEF ARCHITECT SUBMITTED DRAWINGS

The chief architect, Department of Urban Planning, Chandigarh Administration, had submitted plans for the development of the green belt around the houses of the judges in November 2019.

“It is therefore necessary to produce a rough cost estimate for the development of the green belt around the judges’ houses in Sector 10-A, Chandigarh, under the main theme of ‘landscaping’. Therefore, the area was inspected by the relevant sub-divisional engineer. In addition, the Area Council Maheshinder Singh Sidhu has also requested that this area be developed. Accordingly, a rough estimate of Rs 58.93 lakh was prepared and submitted to arrange the official approval and allocation of the funds among the competent district captains, ”says the agenda drawn up by the citizenry.

In addition to earthworks in the ground and driving area, the scope of the entire work also includes the provision and laying of cement concrete 1: 8: 16 and 1: 1%, masonry with class designation, the provision and fastening of MS flat railings as well as plastering and grouting.

Assigned Rs 1 crore

Division 1 of the Horticultural Division has been allocated a budget of Rs 1 billion for the year 2021-22. Of the funds made available, expenditure of Rs 36.04 lakh has been made until July 2021, while the remaining majority of this, ie Rs 58.93 lakh, will be spent on this project under the (plan) capital manager “Landscaping Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh”.
