Pflugerville, Travis County – The city council on Tuesday granted a local landscaping company new development on a piece of land it would like to use to relocate its operations.

The 5.03 hectare property was converted from an agricultural / development area (A) to an industrial zone (GB2).

The location is north of Rowe Lane and along the east side of FM 685, at 20501 FM 685 in the northern part of town.

In the northeast of the property there is a 2,481 square meter house, a 1,120 square meter single garage and a 500 square meter storage shed.

Manuel Soto with Austin Gardeners LLC suggests developing the land for a landscaping company.

Soto’s store is currently located at 18414 North Heatherwilde Boulevard, also on the north side.

Jeffrey Slanker, with Keller Williams Real Estate, represented the project before the city council, saying the facility would be more like a seasonal landscape showroom to help clients imagine what they could do for their home.

“It’s not a nursery,” he said. “Everything is set up and the product is shipped. Austin Gardeners are expanding and growing and want to stay in the community. “

Premier Surveying Inc., from Plano, are on board the project team.
