Doylestown Landscaping Firm Wins Philadelphia Flower Show Trophy

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A Doylestown-based landscaping company won a gold medal from the 2021 Philadelphia Flower Show.

Mark Cook Landscape & Contracting took second place overall at the Philadelphia Flower Show of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and won the silver trophy and gold medal.

On June 23, the PHS announced the winners of the competition. The Flower Show at FDR Park in South Philadelphia took place for the first time in its 193-year history from June 5 to 13, 2021 in the open air location, designer designed exhibits that used the breathtaking natural beauty of the historic district as a backdrop.

The categories for the 2021 awards included “Best in Show”, “The Governor’s Trophy” and “The Philadelphia Trophy”.

To judge this year’s landscape creations, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society has selected a group of horticultural experts made up of members of the Flower Show Committee and gardening professionals.

This year, most of the designers, gardens, and flower arrangements in the show’s history have been featured, with over 75 unique installations spanning the show’s 15 acres of outdoor space for guests to see and interact with.
