FREE Virtual Classes And In-Person Workshop On Florida-Friendly Landscaping

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL. – Hernando County’s Florida-Friendly Landscaping (FFL) program offers classes and workshops year-round to help residents save time, money, and water while maintaining their lawns and gardens.

Residents are invited to participate in free online learning through virtual, interactive courses in July. These virtual courses and the in-person workshop will be presented by Lilly Browning, Florida-Friendly Landscaping Coordinator.

The timetable with a brief description of the individual classes is shown below. Residents can attend by clicking the Zoom meeting link associated with the class they wish to attend at the time of the offer and entering the meeting ID and passcode.

Videos will be available on Florida-Friendly Landscaping Facebook and the Hernando County Government YouTube channel after the course is recorded.

Free Virtual Course: Reduce Your Chemicals Use Residents are invited to take part virtually in “Reduce Your Chemicals Use” on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 10 a.m., and be more pollinator and animal friendly.

Free Virtual Course: Hiring Florida-Friendly Residents are invited to virtually participate in Hiring Florida-Friendly -Friendly Landscaping on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 10 a.m. Professional landscapers also learn how to become a certified Florida-Friendly Landscaping Professional.
