HDC surprised by $24,500 spend on landscaping for temporary trailer
(July 15, 2021) Ray Pohl was stunned to learn that the Select Board had approved a $ 24,500 landscaping contract to inspect the trailer on Rotary Sparks Avenue. The trailer should only be temporary in his opinion.
But the landscaping makes him think the town will try to keep what he considers to be the ugliest building on Nantucket where it is.
“If you think this thing will sit there forever, you have something else,” said Pohl, chairman of the Historic District Commission.
