Landscaping works begin in McLennan Street Mooroopna

Greater Shepparton City Council has begun work on the next phase of landscaping on McLennan Street Mooroopna in Block 4.

The work includes the construction of barrier-free parking spaces, the replacement of pedestrian fences, new garden beds and plantings, concrete paving, raised seating walls, additional street furniture, new irrigation and an upgrade of the public lighting.

Council Infrastructure Director Phil Hoare said, “We are excited to see the next phase of landscaping happening on McLennan Street. The Council completed the first phases of Blocks 1 and 2 in May 2020. We worked with the community and the designs. It’s great now to see the work in progress, ”said Hoare.

“During the work, we ask residents and drivers to be aware of the changed traffic and the changed pedestrian routes. Some parking spaces are not available during the project work. We thank everyone for their patience during the work. “
