Laura Jane Grace announces show at Four Seasons Total Landscaping

We were sure that the inevitable return of live music would bring some legendary moments, and Laura Jane Grace is already doing its part. On Thursday, July 8th, Against Me !, Devouring Mothers and Solo Artists announced a live show on August 21st at the Four Seasons Total Landscaping in Philadelphia.

Yes, the same Four Seasons Total Landscaping that hosted then-attorney Rudy Giuliani’s infamous press conference in front of a parking garage in November 2020 detailing Donald Trump’s legal challenges related to the presidential election. It was a surprising location for a gig that many suspected would be at the upscale Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. The small landscaping company, located near a sex shop and crematorium in the Holmesburg neighborhood of northeast Philadelphia, immediately gained notoriety, quickly selling merchandise and greeting the curious. Now it’s a concert venue, at least for a day. Yes, in 2021.

Grace, who released a solo album on acclaimed Stay Alive last October, is joined by Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms on Four Seasons. Tickets for the all-age show went on sale this lunchtime. There are even T-shirts to commemorate the occasion.

“This will be the first and last time Brendan and I play in front of a landscaping business,” says Grace, “and we promise it’ll be better than this MAGA shit show.”

Grace has a handful of live dates scheduled for the fall, including punk rock bowling in Las Vegas on September 25th and four shows on Thursday that stop at the Worcester Palladium on December 28th.
