Local landscaping company’s customers hesitant to maintain yard

CHICO, California.– Extreme heat and lack of water are major problems for people who work outdoors.

A local landscaping company, Mow Bros, spoke to Action News Now to find out how the drought has affected its work in nearby towns.

Owner Nick DeCarlo said customers are more concerned about potentially starting a fire than making their yard look nice because of the less water available.

“It has made some of our customers a little hesitant about doing certain projects they wanted to do or even letting us continue with regular maintenance,” said DeCarlo.

DeCarlo said his company was also suffering from a labor shortage, and he and his colleagues at one point worked up to 12 hours a day.

Mow Bros has hired new employees and is now fully staffed again.
