Mahakal Temple Extension plan; Rs 6.08 cr approved for landscaping in Begumbagh area

Ujjain: Landscaping is being carried out for Rs 6.08 crore on the 4,660 square meter land cleared in the Begum Bagh area. The floor plan and the site plan for the property development work were completed on Friday. At the meeting chaired by the collector Ashish Singh, approval was given for the construction of a road, a pedestal area, a giant statue of Lord Shiva and a kiosk. The action plan of the museum archive at Vikram Kirti Yemple was also presented. A museum will be built while preserving the library, the fossil museum, the stone gallery and the manuscripts. A tentative agreement has been made on this plan, which costs Rs 11.28 crores.


Project started to heal 2,700 children from malnutrition

Over 2,700 Ujjain children are cured of malnutrition with leaves of Surjana phalu or Munga (drum leaves). A pilot project is being implemented in the city of Ujjain and in rural areas. State Food Commissioner Kishor Khandelwal said that with a regular diet of munga leaf grains, malnourished children would be well on their way to recovery in 10 to 20 days. He also advised that Abhyanga treatment should be adapted to the treatment of malnutrition.
