New artificial grass football ground inaugurated at Sreenidhi FC

The turf allows the players a perfect performance mechanism by adapting to different movements of the ball

Hyderabad: The first 11-a-side artificial turf soccer field with Fifa professional quality was inaugurated on Thursday on the grounds of the Sreenidhi Football Club in Aziznagar. The opening of this first stadium marks a milestone in the arena of competitive football in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

The new floor is made of Field Turf from the USA, which offers players a natural, comfortable game with high performance and stability. The turf enables the players to have a perfect performance mechanism by adapting to various movements of the ball and is the same quality used in their training facilities by top European clubs such as FC Barcelona and Arsenal FC.

On the occasion of the official inspection of SDFC by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and Telangana Football Association (TFA), Sunando Dhar, CEO, Leagues, AIFF said that SDFC will create a ripple effect in Indian football with its multiplier programs and innovative coaching Methods. He also pointed out the best football and player facilities the club offers to create a nurturing environment for players to emerge victorious in global tournaments.

On this occasion, TFA President Rafath Ali praised the club’s initiative to refine and improve the soccer infrastructure with 11 artificial soccer fields on the A-side that open new avenues for the beautiful game to the next level in the state and the country. He then emphasized the importance of taking a proactive approach to developing football facilities in Telangana so that players can be shaped into world-class champions.

SDFC will play in the Hero I-League in the 2021-2022 season. As part of the inauguration ceremony, there was a friendly game between SDFC and Abbas Union, which ended with an 8: 1 in favor of SDFC full-time.
