On the Job: RI Nursery and Landscaping Association looking to hire

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI (WPRI) – Many Rhode Island residents remain unemployed due to the pandemic, so 12 News has partnered with the Department of Labor and Education to bring you employers who are currently hiring.

The Rhode Island Nursery and Landscaping Association (RINLA) serves the state’s green industry by representing many plant-based companies across the state and promoting environmental stewardship.

This is the busiest time of year for the plant industry, so there are more jobs than workers.

RINLA runs a professional education program for Rhode Islanders for those interested in a new career path. Your Growing Futures Bootcamp will take place June 21-25.

In the video above, RINLA’s Shannon Brawley and Christie Milligan conducted a Zoom interview with 12 News to discuss the many vacancies available.
